Join educator and tour host Bruce H. Porter as you experience Independence, Missouri; Liberty Jail, Far West, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Carthage Jail, and Nauvoo. These unforgettable locations will become all the more colorful as you travel with a choice group of Latter-day Saints and an excellent Church History educator.

Day 1 Monday
Depart for Kansas City (MCI). You need to arrive by approx 3pm.
Today we will board our motorcoach and drive to Independence to see the LDS Visitors Center near the temple site in Jackson County. Following dinner we'll drive to Liberty to visit the Liberty Jail where the Prophet Joseph spent several months while the Saints suffered severe persecution in Missouri. Accommodations: Fairfield Inn and Suites. Lunch and Dinner will be on your own, We will stop at a place where you will have many options.
Day 2 Tuesday
At 7:30 am we begin our day by traveling to Far West (8:30am) to see the site of the temple and discuss the historic events that occurred here before the Saints were forced to leave Missouri. Our next stop at 10:30am is Adam-Ondi-Ahman to see where Adam and Eve lived after the Garden of Eden. We will have a boxed lunch then we’ll continuing on our scenic drive to Carthage and go through the Visitor's center and view the site of the Prophet Joseph's martyrdom. Overnight at the Hampton Inn in Keokuk.
Day 3 Wednesday
Today we will visit Old Nauvoo and have an opportunity to visit the Nauvoo Temple. Our motor coach can take you anywhere around town. You can visit The Visitors Center today between 11:30am to 3:00pm and the Historic Sites Hours are 12:30pm to 3:00pm. The Movie "Joseph Smith- Prophet of the Restoration" shows at the Visitors Center at starting at 2pm and ending at 3pm. You’ll be able browse through the many restored homes and buildings that take you back to old Nauvoo when the saints were colonizing and expanding! You won't want to miss the homes of Brigham Young, John Taylor, Heber C. Kimball, Lucy Mack Smith, and the Jonathan Browning Gun Shop.We will have a session scheduled for those who would like to attend a session. (bring Temple Recommend). We will have 5pm dinner reservations at the Hotel Nauvoo for a Buffet dinner. Lunch and Dinner is paid for on your own. Overnight at the Hampton Inn in Keokuk.
Day 4 Thursday
This morning we will spend in Nauvoo. A great lunch can be had at Grandpa John's Nauvoo cafe at 1255 Mulholland St. They are open until 1pm. After lunch we will travel to Cedar Rapids , IA (airport code (CID) and depart for home Flights should be scheduled to depart after 6pm
